I would challenge you to think about what you think are the things that make someone beautiful (handsome) and then ask yourself why you think that. Where did you learn that?
We need to develop critical thinking skills because the media is constantly telling us that we need something else to be beautiful. They also tell us that if you're not beautiful or handsome you're not worth as much as the person that is. We need to redefine (come up with a new meaning) what it means to be beautiful.
In addition, the media isn't even using real photos of people. Instead they are edited on computers (photoshopped), so that the images we see on TV, in music videos, on billboards, and in magazines are not even real.

Well when I watched this video I thougth every time I saw some that looked that beautiful I would always say I wish I could look as good as they do. But I saw that they are not as beautiful as I thougth its just done by the computers and they are not even real. Now I think I sould not always belivie in what people tell on T.V. or Magazines about how you could look as good as them when you can even look like them because they not real!
I think that alot of us do get affective by this. Why? Well... some girls might think every morning when they wake up I want to look like that sexy model on that magazine. Men do the same but they want to look buffer with big muscles and say they are muscular. So yeah I think that deep inside theres other qualities that people should look in and pay more intrest. Maybe how they feel, emotions, thoughts, sence of humor, other things that not other person can copy. These are better qualities to see in a person then just there looks!
Well it is true what this video tell us and the outside beauty don't really matters the one that matters is the inside beauty.Many people feel bad of their bodies and faces because they don't feel good about it and want to look like a tv model. I think it is imposibble to be similar to someone else because everyone is different in some way.I wish I could be like one of those models in tv bautiful and good looking but when I saw this video I noticed that their bauty is fake. I think that people should look in the inside beauty, the heart and soul. The outside looking some day will finish however,the inside bauty never will finish and I will say to all those guys or girls who just look at the outside looking that instead of doing that they should take the chance to get to know the inside beauty of the people because that is the one that worths so much more
Seeing this vedio opens so many questios in my mind and so many things that I have not not thought about or has crossed my mind.I do not know why peple do so much just to make everyone think and make them think about how they lokk.This is a big problem because young little grils and boys are waching the media and comparing them selfs to what they see. some timse even I get cought up in what I see and I start to ptu myself down. In the end I always think twis and not let it affects me. People should not care about their looks and just be glad that they are healthy and alive.

You're right that we should focus on those inner qualities like sense of humor, feelings, emotions, and thoughts instead of just the outer appearance. We should also be happy that we are healthy and alive and not always looking to make ourselves "look better." The inner qualities don't fade, but our looks do.

When I saw the video I was amazed how they acually made it. Because on the cover on dove the women is beautiful and when I looked at the video she just a normal person. Also amazed about how they change her face by using a photoshop. People want to look great or beautiful because they looked at the video, commercial, magazines, and other people that you want to look like them. How can you look like them when they fixed there face by a photoshop. You can't fix your self by using a photoshop.
When I watched the viedo, and I saw the girl walk in, she didn't look so pretty. But when they started to put make-up on her she started to look pretty they fixed her hair, and finally when they were done doing her and make-up they start making changes on her made her neck taller her eyes bigger, and they made her cheek bones skinner. I was mad that they did that because that is not how she really looks like. When I saw the big change I said WOW!! she looks really pretty but, really that is not her. So now I know that people that are on T.V. I know for sure that, that's not how they look like. I don't think people can look exactly so perfect with a pretty face, and body.

I think that we get affected by this, becuase when we see someone on tv we want to like him. We wnat to have the same muscles, haircuts or tatoos. It it is affecting tees because they do bad things to be like models.

Last night I saw this video and other videos that were very funny because how they edit the picture. For example if you look fat in picture you edit with Photo shop the is a very good program you can look very Thin..I never thought the they edit the pictures the we see on magazines or t.v. And sometime to sell a products they put a picture of beautiful girl just to sell more....
i think the people on the magazines are not real because there beter on the picture on it and not when you see then on your face they look diferrent so you could do your self beter on the computers...

i saw the video, at first the girl wasn't very pretty. But when they put her make up on and some "PS" she was pretty. But that was not really her. It was not real. i don't know why people want to do that. Maybe they think people are not prefect. Or maybe they just want to make better. So more people will like it.
People give so much money to be beautifull, they buy different kinds creams,lotionslip plampers fake lashes, popular clothes , they sit on dangerous diets just to look like these girls from the magazines, but they dont know that these girls are fake dolls, that photoshop creates. It is false advertizement, these peopple are quakers, who make you buy their producy, but it really dont work!
When I watched this video I thought
that was not a real person after the video was over, because they made that lady look like a plastic doll or more like a cartoon character. I think if I were a Hollywood director I wouldn't let then do that to other people or Hollywood stars because thats not them its a different person...
I think that alot of people get affective by seeing newspaper and by watching T.V. becuase they want to be the same, but when I watched that movie, at first it she was ugly but at the end she looked pretty, by adjusting almost everything on computer. alot of people think shes that pretty in real life but it aint true
what i think about the pictures that i see in magazines i think that they are not all true. And i think they shouldn't do that because there is people out there that want to be like the model they they see in the magazines but the true is that the person doesn't really exist. and they could never be that person because the person is fake.
i think that we do get affective.Because when we see people in tv and they look all nice and very preety.like they have very nice body etc.
What I thougt after I saw the Dove Evoluton video it made me think of all the fake things the world is filed with. The model they had used for that video was prety, but the made her into a whole new person. She's not even real she's only real in the computer, and in the creaters mind. I think that young people shouldn't look up to models because models arn't really people they're just a computer animated face.
i thought that people from the magazine where real but when i saw the video i started thinking the they are just fake they change there faces and nose i think every person is beutiful they dont have to chage there faces or nose or anything.
In someways the look of the whole evolution convinces the young teens, in reality they rally look fake when you see the reality of evolution
I think that we have to be proud of our body and don't get influenced by pictures because you don't really know if the person of a picture is reality or is fake... i'm happy with my skiny body... hehe

Well yeah you are right they change our mind on almost everything. But they are some people that really do look beutiful and i know that if you really want you can, but you spend money doing so. Work out and stuff. But yeah if you have morals then you won't change...
I think that this is just a bad unimportant thing because everything they show in t.v. magazines, and other media are just fake and they just do that to get attention for their product. I think that if someone is going to be put in a picture or on a magazine, or do a video for a comercial, it should be because of how you really look, their natural beaty and not practically using them and do something else with their image to lie to people and get what they want,
which most of the time is their product, they don't really even care about you.
i think "body image in the media" give us difference look about beautiful, every thing that they tell us is fake. after i wathed the video i was really shock. i agree with nereyda that we not just look outside beauty we also need to look the inside beauty.
I think that everything that they are doing like magazines,tv,and those kinds of things are making people get a low self esteam because of those things and think that they should stop doing those things.I mean its cool that there's people that come out on tv and try to show of but they should keep it to there self.
i thinks that we should be ourself because when we look that the magazine or the T.V they want do be like them.
sometimes models come out on tv and their pretty but in real life they dont look like that and dont tell veronica what i said on the first sentence.but they should be doin that because it makes people feel bad and it makes them feel ugly.
